DAVID L. BRAVERMAN, ESQUIRE
David Braverman is a founder of the firm, its president, managing member and senior trial lawyer. With nearly forty years experience, David guides his clients through their business issues with intelligence, skill, quick wit, unflinching commitment and unparalleled loyalty, always remaining sensitive to the emotional wear and tear of litigation. David’s expertise is in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including construction, banking and real estate. David has successfully resolved business disputes involving all types of businesses, including: the representation of a world renown wild well fighter seeking to recover payment from the Uzbekistan government after putting out oil well fires in that country; the manufacturer of the oil used extensively in industrial applications and virtually every professional baseball player to soften their gloves; and the manufacturer of the world’s most exclusive Italian residential windows.
He has represented the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in connection with the collection of more than $5 million dollars in obligations from a Costa Rican company through Costa Rica’s Banco Central, as well as the largest Pennsylvania chartered regional transit authority in connection with program management for the replacement of significant portions of its guideway, the resolution of more than $150 million in construction claims and the successful prosecution of the design engineer’s malpractice. He has litigated matters in more than twenty states.
But the heart of David’s practice is the family-owned and small businesses who have come to rely upon him when their operations, and thus their lives, are in trouble. He won a multi-million dollar verdict at trial in the first lender liability case in Pennsylvania to hold a commercial bank liable for breach of fiduciary duty to its borrower, a local real estate developer.
David is a frequent lecturer to many legal and trade groups and, most recently, a guest lecturer to Columbia University’s Construction Engineering and Management Program. He has co-authored a book on New Jersey Trial Practice and has written numerous articles and other publications.
David has been listed for nearly thirty years in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers™ (exclusive to those who have achieved the Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards), and is a perennially named Super Lawyer®, among other honors. He is a 1974 graduate of Temple University. He received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1978, with honors, where is also was a member of the Traynor Society. David was the winner of the National Moot Court Orals Competition in law school. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and California.
